Do you provide services via Telehealth?
Amy provides therapy services via Telehealth throughout Michigan and Ohio. Amy is able to provide parental leave coaching via Telehealth worldwide.
What kinds of mental health issues do you have experience with?
I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, including community mental health centers, group practices, and private practice. I have experience with a wide range of mood and anxiety disorders including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I also have experience with drug and alcohol disorders in remission.
What is the difference between therapy and parental leave coaching?
Therapy is provided to help clients who are experiencing emotional challenges involving mood changes or anxiety. Therapy is covered by most major insurers. Parental leave coaching is meant to support parents-to-be and new parents through their leave and transition back into the workplace. Coaching is not covered by insurance. Coaching can be an add-on to therapy, and many aspects of leave coaching can be integrated into therapy. However, parental leave coaching does not take the place of therapy.
Can I get parental leave coaching as a part of therapy?
Many aspects of parental leave coaching can be woven into more traditional perinatal therapy. However, some assessments such as the PLTA require an additional cost.
Can I get parental leave coaching if I am already working with another therapist?
Yes! Parental leave coaching complements most therapy and services can be provided separately.
Do you take insurance?
I accept several insurance plans for therapy including BCBS PPO, BCN, Blue Cross Complete, Priority Health, and Medicare. Coaching services are not covered by insurance.
